Privacy Policy

Overview

Focus Timer is a Pomodoro timer app for focus sessions, short breaks, and long breaks. The app does not require an account, does not ask users to submit personal content, and does not display ads.

The app uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand basic app usage and improve the app. Because Firebase Analytics is included, some usage, device, and identifier information may be collected automatically by the Firebase SDK.

Information We Collect

Focus Timer itself stores timer state only on the user's device during normal use.

Through Firebase Analytics, the app may collect analytics information such as:

• App interactions, including app opens, session duration, screen/activity lifecycle events, and the custom reset event when the user taps Reset.
• Timer-related event parameters for the reset event, including timer mode, remaining seconds, and completed focus session count.
• App information, including app version, package name, install/update information, and Firebase SDK information.
• Device information, including operating system version, device model, language, and general device metadata.
• Approximate geography derived by analytics services.
• Device or other identifiers, including a Firebase app instance identifier and, by default on Android, the Android Advertising ID when available.
• Diagnostics or performance-related information that may be processed as part of Firebase and Google Play services operation.

The app does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, contacts, photos, precise location, calendar data, SMS messages, payment information, or user-generated files.

How We Use Information

Collected analytics information is used to:

• Understand how users interact with Focus Timer.
• Verify whether app events, such as Reset, are working correctly.
• Improve app usability, reliability, and future feature decisions.
• Maintain and operate Firebase Analytics integration.

We do not use collected analytics information to show ads inside the app. We do not sell personal data.

Sharing

Analytics information is processed by Google Firebase as a service provider for analytics, measurement, storage, and related service operation. Google may process this data according to Firebase and Google Analytics terms and privacy documentation.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request.

Data Security

Firebase documentation states that collected end-user data listed for Firebase Android SDKs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We rely on Firebase and Google Play services for analytics data transmission and processing security.

Data Retention and Deletion

Focus Timer does not create user accounts. If you want to request deletion of analytics data associated with your app usage where technically possible, contact us at the email address listed on this page.

Because analytics identifiers may not directly identify a named person to us, we may need reasonable information to locate applicable data or may be unable to locate data tied to a specific user.

Children

Focus Timer is not designed primarily for children. The app is intended as a general productivity tool. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when SDKs are added or removed, or when legal or platform requirements change. The latest version should always be available at the Privacy Policy URL listed in Google Play.

Terms of Use

Use of the App

Focus Timer is provided as a simple productivity timer. You may use it for personal study, work, reading, writing, coding, household tasks, and other lawful productivity purposes.

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to interfere with the app or related services, reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

No Account

Focus Timer does not require a user account. The app does not provide account creation, login, public posting, messaging, or user-generated content features.

No Professional Advice

Focus Timer is a productivity tool. It is not medical, mental health, educational, legal, financial, or professional advice. Timer guidance inside the app is general productivity information only.

Availability

Focus Timer requires network access for Firebase Analytics and related Google services to transmit analytics data. Core timer functions may continue to operate locally on the device when network connectivity is unavailable.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Firebase Analytics provided by Google. Use of Firebase may be subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every user's needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app.
